Kauppapolitiikka magazine: network for boosting trade
The June issue of the Kauppapolitiikka magazine focuses on the current challenges and opportunities of the Finnish economy. The main theme of the issue is economic growth and more specifically the role of exports as the driver of the economy.

Chair of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Finnish Industries Aaro Cantell highlights companies’ reluctance to grow as an obstacle to Finland’s economic growth. This latest issue looks at international markets and how they can offer solutions to this challenge. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs’ trade promotion network of some 200 experts and 90 offices worldwide plays a key role in supporting Finnish companies’ international growth.
Special attention is paid to Germany, which is about to see a considerable surge in investments. This can open up significant opportunities for Finnish companies. Country branding also capitalises on the international visibility of the Eurovision Song Contest, says Ambassador for Culture and Creative Industries Paula Parviainen.
The magazine also takes a look to the future. Demographic changes will significantly shape the world in the next few decades. What developments will India and the Gulf region see? In addition, the June issue looks at the World Expo in Osaka and discusses the prospects for free trade in the changing global operating environment.
