Kauppapolitiikka magazine: Security is the sum of its parts
The December issue of Kauppapolitiikka trade policy magazine takes the reader to the heart of national preparedness. Our theme article explains why Finland is regarded as a superpower of peacetime preparedness and what commercial opportunities comprehensive security offers. The interview section features Minister of Economic Affairs Sakari Puisto, who talks about Finland's economic outlook.
Finland is attracting interest as a model country for national preparedness, as the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine has jolted many countries out of their post-Cold War sense of security. The theme article explains what comprehensive security is and what commercial opportunities it offers.
In the interview section, Minister of Economic Affairs Sakari Puisto sees glimmers of hope in the otherwise sluggish economy and encourages setting the bar high – as he did by completing a doctoral thesis for Cambridge University.
Rebuilding Ukraine will provide opportunities for Finnish companies; however, CEO of EastCham Finland Jaana Rekolainen reminds businesses that there are no shortcuts to success. Honesty is the best policy for entering the market.
The December issue also features lighter topics: do you know where the world’s largest startup hub Station F is or how a Finnish architectural firm got a chance to design huge concert halls in China’s metropolises Wuxi, Fuzhou and Nanchang?
These articles and plenty of other content are available on the magazine’s website.
