“It is important and useful to be able to exchange views on regional security issues with Latvia, Finland's close partner,” says Minister Valtonen.
Krišjānis Kariņš took up his post as Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Latvian Government on 15 September 2023. Kariņš served as Prime Minister of Latvia in 2019–2023.
