Mika Lintilä appointed as the new Minister of Economic Affairs
On Thursday 29 December, the President of the Republic appointed Mika Lintilä, MP, as Minister of Economic Affairs. On the same occasion the President of the Republic released Olli Rehn from his duties as Minister of Economic Affairs.
The Government plenary session on 29 December decided on the division of responsibilities and ministerial deputies as well as on the composition of ministerial committees and the Economic Council. The Government also decided to submit a communication to Parliament on Minister Lintilä’s private interests. The Government session started with the swearing in of Minister of Economic Affairs Mika Lintilä.
State Secretary Jari Partanen was appointed to continue in his duties as state secretary to the Centre Party ministers.
