Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen decided on Finland's participation in international training and exercises in 2025
The plan for 2025 includes 115 events in Finland and abroad, with the cost of participation at about EUR 10.75 million.
On 15 May, Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen decided on Finland's participation in international training and exercises in 2025.
According to Minister Häkkänen, training and exercises will strengthen the defence of both Finland and the Alliance while increasing the knowledge of the Allies about the operating environment in the north.
Finland's NATO membership, deepening defence cooperation with the United States, Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom and other important allies, and the significant changes in the security environment all have an impact on the international training and exercises of the Defence Forces.
- Our Nato Allies train in Finland with the Defence Forces more often and on a longer-term basis, says Minister Häkkänen.
The Defence Forces will provide more information about the training and exercises later.
