Minister of Defence Häkkänen to attend Nordic tripartite meeting in Norway

Minister of Defence Antti Häkkänen will attend a tripartite meeting with the defence ministers of Norway and Sweden in Norway's Bodø on 20 June 2024.

In connection with the meeting, the defence ministers will also have a joint session with the Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, the Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and President of the Republic Alexander Stubb.

Norway's Minister of Defence Bjørn Arild Gram, Sweden's Minister for Defence Pål Jonson and Häkkänen will discuss support to Ukraine and NATO's upcoming summit in July.

In a joint session, the defence ministers of the three countries, the prime ministers of Norway and Sweden and the President of the Republic will discuss closer defence cooperation, the connection between the Baltic Sea and the Arctic region, and the security situation in the neighbouring areas.
