Minister Strand to meet with Danish Minister of European Affairs Bjerre in Helsinki 

Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Joakim Strand will meet with Danish Minister of European Affairs Marie Bjerre in Helsinki on Tuesday 22 October.

Their discussions will focus on the current term of the European Union and the forthcoming financial framework, Ukraine and EU enlargement, efforts to strengthen competitiveness, the green transition and the rule of law, migration issues, and Finland’s comprehensive security initiative.

“Denmark has always been a close and important partner for Finland. Denmark will play a particularly significant role in European cooperation when it takes over the Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2025,” says Minister Strand.

While in Finland, Minister Bjerre will also meet with Members of Parliament, among others.
