The Ministry for Foreign Affairs will gain more wide-ranging expertise with the start of two new courses for careers at the Ministry in March 2025.

One is the Foreign Ministry’s course for new diplomats (Kavaku). This year, special attention was paid to applicants’ commercial and economic competence, understanding of new technologies and knowledge of foreign and security policy.

The course will further strengthen the Foreign Ministry’s expertise in geoeconomics, export promotion and business services. A total of 21 attachés will start this course for new diplomats.

The other course starting in March is an induction course qualifying for various administrative positions (Halku). Twenty assistant secretaries will attend the course.

The number of applicants for the Halku and Kavaku courses were 274 and 689, respectively.
