New Zealand’s Foreign Minister Peters to visit Finland
Finnish Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will meet New Zealand’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peters in Helsinki on 30 October.
The foreign ministers will discuss the bilateral relations between Finland and New Zealand, the current security situation in Europe and the Indo-Pacific region, and the Middle East.
Third-time Minister of Foreign Affairs Winston Peters has made determined efforts during his career to promote New Zealand's relations with the Nordic countries. He will visit Finland as part of his tour of the Nordic countries.
“Even though Finland and New Zealand are far apart geographically, we are very like-minded partners and share the same values. We greatly appreciate New Zealand’s support to Ukraine and Foreign Minister Peters’ efforts to strengthen our relations,” says Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen.
