Nordic National Armaments Directors and Chiefs of Defence are meeting in Helsinki
Nordic National Armaments Directors and Chiefs of Defence are holding an unofficial meeting in Helsinki on 3 to 4 April 2013. The meeting is hosted by Director-General Jukka Juusti, the head of the Resource Policy Department of the Ministry of Defence and General Ari Puheloinen, Chief of Defence of the Finnish Defence Forces.
The purpose of the meeting is to further materiel projects. As both the Chiefs of Defence and directors of defence materiel play a key role in Nordic materiel projects, their discussions will focus on how to resolve the practical difficulties that have hindered cooperation.
In addition to the contribution from the hosting nation, there are participants from Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
