In their meeting on Monday 3 April, the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed the meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers on 4 and 5 April and Finland’s future NATO membership.
They also discussed negotiations on the Defence Cooperation Agreement between Finland and the United States, relations between regional organisations and Russia, and Russia’s war of aggression in Ukraine and the security situation in Europe. In addition, the President and the Committee reviewed the implementation of the civilian and military intelligence priorities set for 2022.
