President and Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discuss Government Report on Foreign and Security Policy and preparations for NATO Summit in Washington
In their meeting on Tuesday 18 June, the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy finalised the Government Report on Finnish Foreign and Security Policy, which will now be submitted to Parliament once it has been endorsed in the Government plenary session.
The Government Report on Foreign and Security Policy assesses Finland’s foreign and security policy environment and outlines the priorities and objectives of Finland’s foreign and security policy.
The President and the Ministerial Committee also discussed preparations for the NATO Summit in Washington, D.C. on 9–11 July. The Summit is expected to focus on NATO’s long-term support for Ukraine and on strengthening NATO’s deterrence and defence.
