On Wednesday 22 June, the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy were briefed on the preparations for the NATO summit to be held in Madrid on 29–30 June 2022 and on Finland’s NATO membership process.
The meeting also discussed the deepening of defence cooperation between Finland and the United States.
The President and the Ministerial Committee also discussed issues relating to Russia.
