Prime Minister Orpo and Spanish Prime Minister Sánchez to meet in Helsinki

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Prime Minister of Spain Pedro Sánchez will meet in Helsinki on Wednesday 12 March. Topics on the agenda for the meeting include improving the EU’s defence capabilities, digitalisation, the clean transition and bilateral relations between Finland and Spain.

“At last week’s Special European Council, we held an important and productive discussion on support for Ukraine and European security. I am very pleased that my Spanish colleague and I now have an opportunity to continue the discussion on achieving our common goals,” said Prime Minister Orpo.

While in Helsinki, Prime Minister Sánchez will also meet with President of the Republic Alexander Stubb.
