Prime Minister Orpo to meet Polish Prime Minister in Warsaw

Prime Minister Petteri Orpo will meet Poland's new Prime Minister Donald Tusk on Friday 16 February in Warsaw.

The prime ministers will discuss matters related to Europe's security situation, such as supporting Ukraine, speeding up production in the European defence industry and maintaining border security. Other topical EU and bilateral issues, such as closer economic cooperation, will also be on the agenda.

The prime ministers have already discussed their countries' common objectives at the European Council. Prime Minister Tusk took up his duties in December 2023. He has also previously served as Poland's Prime Minister and was the President of the European Council in 2014-2019.
