From Thursday 23 April until further notice, Prime Minister Sanna Marin will be working remotely at Kesäranta, the Prime Minister’s Official Residence. This is a precautionary measure.

Yesterday, Wednesday 22 April, the Prime Minister was informed at the end of the working day that within the close circle of an individual who was working at Kesäranta at the end of last week there is someone who yesterday tested positive for COVID-19. The individual who was working at Kesäranta has been in quarantine ever since the appearance of the symptoms within the close circle, and the individual remains asymptomatic.

When working at Kesäranta, this individual did not meet or encounter the Prime Minister or her family members or her advisory staff. The possibility of exposure is extremely low. The Prime Minister will continue her work as normal using remote access arrangements.

Today, Thursday 23 April, the Prime Minister, using these remote connections, will participate in the meeting of the Ministerial Committee on European Union Affairs, in the hearing of the Grand Committee of Parliament, and in the European Council video conference.

The Prime Minister is being tested for coronavirus and for the time being is continuing to work at Kesäranta using remote access arrangements. The Prime Minister is asymptomatic and feeling fine.
