Under-Secretary of State Anttonen leads a trade mission to Belarus
Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Relations Matti Anttonen will lead a Team Finland trade mission to Belarus from 22 to 24 April 2015.
The business delegation consists of representatives of 21 enterprises. The aim of the trade mission is to increase awareness of Finnish enterprises in Belarus, to find new business and cooperation opportunities for Finnish and Belarusian enterprises and organisations, and to promote the operation of Finnish businesses that are already based in the country. The previous trade mission visit to Belarus took place in 2009.
"The advantages of Belarus include its central location between the West European and Russian markets, advanced infrastructure, long tradition of industrial export, and improving business environment. Finland and Belarus have good potential for cooperation in, for example, energy efficiency, environmental technology, mechanical engineering, the forest sector, and ICT", says Under-Secretary of State Matti Anttonen.
Finnish enterprises' projects are promoted in meetings at ministerial and company level and in seminars organised for networking. During the trade mission, Under-Secretary of State Anttonen will meet Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexander Guryanov and, for example, representatives of the Belarusian Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Energy, and Ministry of Forestry. In addition, Under-Secretary of State Anttonen will visit the Olvi Group brewery in Lida.
