Prime Minister Petteri Orpo will open the Ministerial Council Meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris on 3 June. Finland will chair the meeting for the first time in more than 40 years. Several ministers from Finland will attend the meeting. Prime Minister Orpo will also have a bilateral meeting with the French President Emmanuel Macron.

The strategy aims to accelerate Finland’s economic growth by modernising the world of work so that Finnish workplaces become more innovative, more productive and better places to work. European forest cooperation project worth EUR 240 million to be coordinated by Finland

The launch of the European Forest Partnership on 1 June 20256 marks a significant step forward for forest cooperation in Europe. The ten-year project worth about EUR 240 million brings together 28 countries and 99 organisations to strengthen research and innovation activities in the European forest sector. Finland will coordinate the project, led by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
