Research supporting the Government’s decision-making

In its budget decision for 2025, Parliament established a new item 23.01.23 (Research activities supporting the Government’s decision-making) under the main title of the Prime Minister's Office. This appropriation will be used to implement the Government’s and ministries’ joint research and development activities (VN Tutkiva), which aim to support the Government’s decision-making and policy preparation.

The Government’s analysis, assessment and research activities (VN TEAS), previously funded under item 23.01.22 (Government’s analysis, assessment and research activities), will be completed by the end of 2025. The final reports of the last ongoing VN TEAS projects will be published by the end of January 2026.
