Goals and results

The climate negotiation group coordinates the preparation of Finland's positions and participation in international climate negotiations.

Starting points

On March 10, 2000, the Ministry of the Environment appointed a working group whose task is to coordinate the preparation of Finland's positions and participation in international climate negotiations. Finland acts as part of the European Union in the negotiations.

The working group was appointed for the time being and its composition has been reviewed in 2003, 2007 and 2010. In 2009, the name of the group was changed to the climate negotiation group of the Ministry of the Environment.

Developing and statute drafting in the Government
