The objective of the Istanbul Convention is to ensure that every girl and woman has a future without violence. 3.12.2025 | The Ministry of Social Affairs and Health has published the Non-Violent Childhoods Action Plan for 2026–2033 aimed at preventing all forms of violence against children. 2.12.2025 | The first evaluations have been published on the preliminary impacts and results of Finland’s CAP Strategic Plan. The evaluations analysed the results and impact achieved related to the entrepreneurial income and competitiveness of agriculture, animal welfare, the biodiversity of agricultural environments and emissions from agriculture. 28.11.2025 | Finnish Biodiversity Award 2023–2024 was given to an actor that had done something inspiring to halt biodiversity loss. The winner of the competition was Crowdsorsa mobile game that has already helped fight against invasive alien species in Finland on a total of 4 million square metres. Honourable mentions were awarded to the cities of Kauniainen and Vantaa.
