The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment has appointed a working group to prepare the implementation of the mechanism in Finland.

A regional carbon price floor (CPF) has been proposed as a means to ensure the guiding effect of emissions trading in all market situations. What has been suggested is to introduce CPF regionally, e.g. in the Nordic countries or in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
