  1. 26.11.2025 | Formulation of the vision for higher education and research will proceed at a seminar for the management of higher education and scientific institutions in Vaasa from 26 to 27 November 2025. The principles guiding the work on the new vision will be introduced by Minister of Science and Culture Mari-Leena Talvitie.   6. 30.6.2025 | On 30 June, Finland brought an action against the European Commission before the Court of Justice of the European Union. In its action, Finland calls on the Court of Justice to repeal Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/864, which reduced the Atlantic salmon fishing quota allocated to Finland in 2025 due to overfishing in 2024.
