The purpose of the project is to integrate the obligations laid down in the NIS2 Directive (2022/2555) into the national legislative framework. The NIS2 Directive replaces the directive on network and information security (NIS1 Directive, 2016/1148).

Starting points

The NIS2 Directive enters into force on 16 January 2023 and its requirements must be transposed into national law by 16 October 2024.
