22.11.2024 | In its meeting on Friday 22 November, the Ministerial Committee on European Union Affairs discussed Finland’s positions on the European Commission's annual EU enlargement package.

28.2.2023 | Over the weekend and on Monday, Finland sent more material assistance to the areas hit by the earthquake in Türkiye. Some of the assistance will be delivered from Türkiye to Syria. There is still a great need for material assistance, such as emergency accommodation and heating, in the region.

7.2.2023 | Finland will be sending EUR 1 million in humanitarian assistance to Türkiye and Syria through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The support will be used to provide food, shelter, medical supplies and psychosocial support to people who lost their homes in the two countries.

8.2.2023 | On Wednesday 8 February, the Ministerial Committee on European Union Affairs agreed on positions for the special meeting of the European Council to be held on 9–10 February and for the meetings of the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (Ecofin) and the Eurogroup to be held on 13–14 February.

29.6.2022 | The document is a political commitment, signed by the foreign ministers of Finland, Sweden and Türkiye. The memorandum confirms Türkiye’s support for Finland’s and Sweden’s NATO membership and enables progress in both countries’ NATO membership process.

That share was reduced almost to zero in a few months, and the energy war launched by Russia increased consumer prices remarkably.
