On Tuesday 27 January, Prime Minister Orpo met for separate discussions with President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Qiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress Zhao Leji. In all three discussions, Prime Minister Orpo highlighted Finland’s and Europe’s support for Ukraine, EU-China relations and a variety of bilateral issues, including increasing Finland’s exports to China.

As part of further preparations, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment will now analyse the feedback received. The draft proposal will also be sent to the Finnish Council of Regulatory Impact Analysis for evaluation.
