7.5.2026 | The State is selling Class B shares in Fingrid to OP Pohjola. Earlier this year, the State acquired the Class A shares in Fingrid owned by Ilmarinen. Fifty of these shares will now be converted into Class B shares. Following the arrangement, the State’s holdings in Fingrid will 59.5 per cent.

27.11.2025 | On 27 November 2025, the Government proposed approval of a fixed-term act on scrapping premiums for passenger cars. The act will enter into force on 1 January 2026. Applications for a scrapping premium may be submitted to the Transport and Communications Agency Traficom after the entry into force of the proposed act.

9.12.2025 | The Ministry of the Interior has procured 50,000 litres of foam suitable for extinguishing different types of fires for use by Ukraine’s rescue services. The foam purchase is part of an emergency assistance package coordinated by the Ministry through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
