26.2.2025 | The ministers met in Helsinki on 26 February. They discussed the bilateral relations between Finland and Türkiye and EU–Türkiye trade and economic relations.

17.6.2024 | The ministers will discuss the EU's 2040 climate target, climate risk management and the regulation on nature restoration. They will also will aim to reach a general approach on the revised waste framework directive, the green claims directive and the soil monitoring directive.

28.10.2021 | The EU already requires that footwear and textile products clearly indicate what material the item is made of.  The Government now proposes to Parliament legislation based on the EU Market Surveillance Regulation, which would specify companies’ obligations related to labelling of materials. The proposed law also enables the imposition of penalty payments for incorrect or deficient labelling. 

6.2.2019 | Would it be possible to make paper-like material from textile waste? How could empty spaces in cities be enlivened? How can you save money on children’s sports clothing? A total of 24 experiments selected for implementation in the Experimental Finland project of the Prime Minister's Office will start to find solutions to these and other challenges. The call for applications implemented through kokeilunpaikka.fi, a digital platform open to everyone, ended on 22 January 2019.
