7.10.2025 | Minister of Youth, Sport and Physical Activity Mika Poutala will attend the 10th Council of Europe Conference of Ministers responsible for Youth on 8–10 October. At the meeting, the ministers will assess developments in youth policy in light of the Reykjavík Declaration and agree on future priorities. The aim is for the ministers to adopt a final declaration and commit to a framework on a youth perspective within the Council of Europe.

15.10.2025 | Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Minna Kivimäki pays an advocacy visit to Brussels, Belgium on 15–17 October 2025. During the visit, Kivimäki meets European Commission representatives and Finnish Members of European Parliament.

30.10.2024 | Minister of Education Anders Adlercreutz will attend the 2024 Global Education Meeting (GEM) organised by UNESCO in Fortaleza, Brazil, on 31 October and 1 November 2024. Brazil is hosting the meeting as part of its G20 Presidency. The meeting will examine strategies needed to achieve the SDG4 Education 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and is expected to adopt the Fortaleza Declaration by the ministers.

9.4.2025 | Minister of Youth, Sport and Physical Activity Sandra Bergqvist will travel to Kraków and attend the EU Sport Forum on 10 and 11 April. The Minister will take part in the Forum’s panel discussion, together with Ukraine’s Minister for Youth and Sports Matviy Bidny. During her visit, Bergqvist will also meet Kersti Kaljulaid, Chair of the Estonian Olympic Committee, and Glenn Micallef, European Commissioner for Intergenerational Fairness, Youth, Culture and Sport.

27.10.2023 | Minister of Science and Culture Sari Multala will visit New York and Los Angeles from 30 October to 3 November 2023. Her aim is to deepen cooperation between Finland and the United States in culture, science and the creative sectors. Multala will meet with leaders of local cultural institutions and businesses, visit several universities, and talk to people playing key roles in culture, science and higher education.

13.11.2023 | Minister of Youth, Sport and Physical Activity Sandra Bergqvist will participate in the ministerial session of the Youth Forum to be held in Paris on 14–15 November 2023. The Youth Forum will take place during the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization UNESCO. The aim is to make young people's voices heard and to discuss solutions to improve their wellbeing in the context of climate change impacts.

15.10.2024 | Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Minna Kivimäki will visit Brussels on 16–18 October 2024 to influence various EU processes. During the visit, Kivimäki will meet European Commission representatives and Finnish MPEs.

12.4.2024 | Minister of Science and Culture Sari Multala will travel to Italy to attend the opening of the Finnish exhibition at the Venice Art Biennale on Wednesday 17 April. The Minister will also visit the Pavilions of the Nordic countries, the Netherlands, Ukraine, the United States and Iceland, among other things.

During the trip, the Minister will also attend a discussion on a UNESCO's comprehensive Global Report on Teachers.

17.1.2020 | On 21January 2020, Minister of Employment Tuula Haatainen will attend the event on the future of work organised in connection with the World Economic Forum. The agenda of the event includes the publication of a study on the adaptability of the labour market, followed by a high-level discussion on its outcomes.

21.10.2019 | Jari Gustafsson, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, will visit Athens on 23–24 October 2019 to meet ministers, representatives of ministries and organisations, and researchers. His programme also includes a meeting with representatives of Finnish companies operating in Greece.

4.11.2019 | The Chinese Ministry of Commerce and the City of Shanghai are organising the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai on 5–10 November 2019. The event is now being held for the second time, and Finland has again been invited. Jari Gustafsson, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, will attend the Expo with a business delegation.

22.7.2019 | Minister of Transport and Communications Sanna Marin will visit Brussels between 22 July and 24 July 2019.  Together with Minister of Economic Affairs Katri Kulmuni, she will present the priorities of the Finnish Presidency of the Council to the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN).
