Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven to visit Finland

Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven will visit Finland and meet Prime Minister Juha Sipilä in Helsinki on Tuesday 29 January.

The topics to be discussed by the two Prime Ministers include bilateral relations between the two countries and current EU affairs such as Brexit, migration and the Multiannual Financial Framework. Also on the agenda are climate issues and defence and hybrid threats.

On Monday 28 January Prime Minister Löfven will meet the President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö in Mäntyniemi. On the agenda of the meeting are defence cooperation between Finland and Sweden, collaboration in the Arctic region, security situation in the Baltic Sea region, and European defence cooperation.

Stefan Löfven was re-elected as the Prime Minister of Sweden after the parliamentary election last autumn. The term of his Government started on 21 January.
