Ministerial Committee on Economic Policy supported sending final call for tenders for HX Fighter Programme

One of the topics at the meeting of the Ministerial Committee on Economic Policy on Wednesday 20 January was the HX Fighter Programme of the Finnish Defence Forces.

The current phase and schedule of the project were presented and the decision procedure, key requirements and the assessment of the tenders were discussed.

Based on the authorisation granted by Parliament, the Ministerial Committee on Economic Policy were in favour of sending the last and final call for tenders to the defence administrations of France, Sweden, the United States and the United Kingdom. 

The final procurement decision will be made towards the end of 2021.
