President of the Republic and Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discuss Iran’s attack on Israel and situation in the Middle East

The President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy held an extraordinary meeting on Monday 15 April to discuss Iran’s attack on Israel in the night between Saturday and Sunday and to discuss the situation in the Middle East.

Finland strongly condemns Iran’s strike and emphasises the critical importance of de-escalation in the current tense situation in the Middle East. Finland and the EU are making efforts to influence all parties to refrain from actions that further undermine regional security. Finland will maintain active contact with the countries in the region.
