Informal meeting of EU telecommunications ministers to discuss protection of minors in digital environments

An informal meeting of the ministers for telecommunications is held in Horsens, Denmark on 9–10 October 2025. State Secretary Marjo Lindgren represents Finland at the meeting. The meeting was convened by the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The topics of the meeting include age verification in social media, protection of minors online and digital sovereignty. A key focus in the discussions will be on the urgent need to protect minors in digital environments.

The meeting is an informal one, which means that no decisions will be made.
