Albanian Foreign Minister Igli Hasani to visit Finland
Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will meet Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania Igli Hasani in Helsinki on 12 June.
During the visit, the foreign ministers will discuss bilateral relations between their countries and the path to EU membership. Other topics on the agenda are Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and current issues related to the activities of NATO and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). The Western Balkans region will be an important focus of Finland’s Chairmanship of the OSCE.
“Finland and the Western Balkan countries have good relations, and the Foreign Minister’s visit will make them even stronger. We support Albania’s path to EU membership, and now our NATO alliance gives a new dimension to our relationship,” Foreign Minister Valtonen says.
During his visit, Foreign Minister Hasani will also meet President of the Republic Alexander Stubb, Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Anders Adlercreutz and Members of Parliament.
