Alexander Lång appointed to serve as Special Adviser to Minister Strand

Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Joakim Strand has invited Master of Social Sciences Alexander Lång to serve his Special Adviser at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Lång is transferring to the post from the European Parliament, where he has most recently served as Special Adviser to Member of the European Parliament Anna-Maja Henriksson. He has also worked as a long-time adviser and assistant to former MEP Nils Torvalds and as Head of Office at the European Parliament Office of the Swedish People’s Party of Finland. He has previously held various positions at the Åland Police Department and worked in administrative tasks in the third sector. 

Lång will assist Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Strand in duties within the minister’s remit. Lång started in his new post on 7 August 2024.
