Sujata Koirala, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Nepal, is visiting Finland on 9–11 March. She will have talks with Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Paavo Väyrynen, and Minister of Social Affairs and Health Liisa Hyssälä.
The topics of the talks between the ministers include internal development in Nepal, the situation regarding the peace process and drafting of the new Constitution, bilateral relations between Finland and Nepal, and Finland’s development cooperation in Nepal. Nepal is one of Finland’s eight main long-term partner countries for development cooperation. Also on the agenda for discussion are topical regional issues and international affairs.
