Finland’s embassy in Yangon, Myanmar, resumed its operations on 16 August 2020.
The embassy had to temporarily suspend its operations on 29 March as its operating conditions had deteriorated due to the coronavirus pandemic. The embassy is located in a fragile area, which is why its operation and maintenance are subject to special requirements that could not be met.
Travel to and within Myanmar is subject to strict restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic. All non-essential travel to Myanmar should still be avoided.
