Pia Nyblom appointed as Foreign Ministry’s Director General of Administrative Services

On Thursday 8 January, the Government appointed Pia Nyblom as Director General of Administrative Services at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

The Government appointed Pia Nyblom, Master of Laws with court training, to serve as Director General of Administrative Services at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs for a fixed term between 1 February 2026 and 31 January 2031. Nyblom has significant experience handling the responsibilities of an administrative director at different ministries. Most recently, she served as Director of Administration at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Nyblom has also served as Director of Administration and in other positions at the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The Foreign Ministry’s Director General of Administrative Services directs, coordinates, plans and develops the functions of the Administrative Services at the Ministry and the missions in accordance with the assigned policy lines and performance targets. The Director General of Administrative Services participates in the planning and development of the Ministry’s horizontal activities.
