Government withdraws its proposal on amending the Communicable Diseases Act and the Act on Transport Services
The Government will withdraw its proposal issued to Parliament on 1 October 2020 on temporary amendments to the Communicable Diseases Act and the Act on Transport Services (Government proposal 137/2020).
The Government will submit a communication to Parliament on the withdrawal of the proposal.
According to the opinion of the Constitutional Law Committee stated on 15 October 2020, the bills in the proposal cannot be considered in accordance with the ordinary legislative procedure.
As a result of the changes in the COVID-19 situation, the opinion of the Constitutional Law Committee and the new Government resolution on border traffic that is under preparation, the Government proposal should be substantially amended. That is why the Government will withdraw the proposal and issue a new proposal on the matter to Parliament.
