The new Ministry for Foreign Affairs Decree on Fees for Services Produced by the Foreign Service in 2025 entered into force on 1 January 2025. With the Decree's entry into force, export control services, such as the processing of various authorisations, were made chargeable.

A processing fee of EUR 900 is charged for a global export authorisation and for an extension to a global export authorisation. The fee for other services provided by the Export Control Unit is EUR 190. The fees for each service are set out in the Decree and the Annex to it (available in Finnish and Swedish).

The invoicing of export control services began in May, and the services applied for at the start of the year will be invoiced in May–June.

The fee will be charged afterwards, and this will not affect the initiation or processing of applications.

The invoicing will be carried out electronically based on an OVT e-invoice ID assigned to the business ID of the entity that applied for the authorisation.

If the company’s invoicing address is not the one available in the national e-invoice address service, please inform us by sending email to k[email protected].
