Matias Pajula appointed as Special Adviser to Foreign Minister Valtonen

Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen has invited Matias Pajula to serve as her Special Adviser.

Matias Pajula will be responsible for various political, strategic and communications issues.

Pajula has previously worked as Policy Advisor and Campaign Manager for the National Coalition Party in Helsinki and as Public Affairs Advisor at Miltton communications agency. He has also served as Chair of the Youth League of the National Coalition Party. In addition, Pajula is a City Councillor of Helsinki and holds other positions of trust in the city, including as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Helsinki Regional Transport Authority HSL.

Elisa Tarkiainen will continue as Special Adviser and Johanna Lukkarila and Laila Clyne as Diplomatic Advisers to the Minister for Foreign Affairs. Diplomatic advisers are officials of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
