Matilda af Hällström appointed as Special Adviser to Foreign Minister Valtonen

Matilda af Hällström will serve as Special Adviser to Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen from 4 December 2023 to 12 January 2024. She will deputise for Special Adviser Elisa Tarkiainen, who is on leave of absence.
Prior to her appointment as Special Adviser, af Hällström was Adviser on EU, foreign and defence policy of the National Coalition Party. She has previously served as Senior Specialist at the International Department of the Finnish Parliament and as EU Specialist at the Nordic Council Office in Brussels. af Hällström holds the degrees of Master of Social Sciences from the University of Helsinki and Master of Arts (Hons.) from the University of St Andrews in the United Kingdom.
