On 9 July, the Government appointed Counsellor for Foreign Affairs Matti Heimonen to continue to serve as Chief of Protocol at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs for a fixed term from 1 September 2020 to 31 August 2022. Heimonen was appointed to the post in 2016.
