Minister Adlercreutz to visit Berlin

On Tuesday 30 January, Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Anders Adlercreutz will travel to Berlin, where he will meet with German Minister of State for Europe and Climate Anna Lührmann and take part in several other high-level meetings.

While in Berlin, Minister Adlercreutz will also meet with Anton Hofreiter, Chair of the Committee on European Affairs in the German Bundestag, Heiko Thoms, State Secretary for European Policy at the Federal Ministry of Finance, and Jörg Kukies, State Secretary for Economic, Finance and European Affairs at the Federal Chancellery.

Items on the agenda for the discussions include a wide variety of topical EU matters and bilateral relations between Germany and Finland. With regard to EU affairs, discussions will focus on the mid-term revision of the EU’s multiannual financial framework, the single market, EU enlargement and issues related to the rule of law. Another important item on the agenda is supporting Ukraine in defending itself against Russia’s illegal war of aggression.
