Minister for European Affairs Joakim strand to visit Paris

Minister for European Affairs and Ownership Steering Joakim Strand will visit Paris on Thursday 27 March. During the visit, Minister Strand will take part in the Global Anti-Corruption & Integrity Forum organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). He will also have a meeting with OECD Secretary-General Mathias Corman.
The purpose of the OECD seminar is to promote discussion and good practices around the use of emerging technologies to combat corruption and ensure good governance. Discussions will focus on the role of technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics and digital forensics in the fight against global corruption.
Minister Strand’s speech at the seminar will focus on good governance in the steering of state-owned companies and best practices for eliminating strategic corruption from the state owner’s point of view.
“I would like to emphasise that strengthening anti-corruption measures and ensuring transparency and accountability in the public sector, including in state-owned and publicly owned companies, is of paramount importance in the fight against all forms of corruption, whether strategic or not,” said Minister Strand.
