Permanent Joint Mechanism between Finland, Sweden and Türkiye meet in Ankara

The fourth meeting of the Permanent Joint Mechanism between Finland, Sweden and Türkiye took place in Ankara on 14 June. It was held between senior officials from Finland, Sweden, Türkiye and the NATO Secretariat.
The meeting addressed the implementation of the trilateral memorandum signed in Madrid in June 2022.
It was agreed that all parties involved have benefited from contacts within the framework. The parties have increased their cooperation and gained more understanding of the matters covered in the memorandum.
A number of speakers at the meeting congratulated Finland for becoming a NATO member.
