Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Combating Discrimination appointed
Finland holds the Chairpersonship of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in 2025. Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen has appointed Prof. Dr Wolfgang Palaver as Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Combating Discrimination.

Representative Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Palaver (Austria) will focus on combating Racism, Xenophobia and Discrimination, also focusing on Intolerance and Discrimination against Christians and Members of Other Religions. In this role, he will follow Dr. Regina Polak, who stepped aside in February 2025.
In addition to Prof. Dr Palaver, the other Personal Representatives on Combating Discrimination are Rabbi Andrew Baker (Anti-Semitism) and H.E. Ambassador Evren Dağdelen Akgün (Discrimination against Muslims).
