President and Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discuss Government Report on Foreign and Security Policy
On Friday 26 April, the President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed the processes to prepare Government reports.
The Government Report on Foreign and Security Policy assesses Finland’s foreign and security policy environment and outlines the priorities and objectives for foreign and security policy. The report defines the main elements of the Finnish foreign and security policy in a new era.
Finland’s UN strategy will be updated as part of the Government Report on Foreign and Security Policy. The analysis of the foreign and security policy environment also guides the preparation of the Government's Defence Report. The Government Report on Foreign and Security Policy is due to be submitted to Parliament during the spring session.
The Report on Foreign and Security Policy is supplemented by the report on Finland’s international economic relations and development cooperation. This report will outline policies on Finland’s relations with developing countries. The report on Finland’s international economic relations and development cooperation is also due to be submitted to Parliament during spring session 2024.
