President and Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy discussed relations with Iraq and current terrorism threat assessment in Finland

The President of the Republic and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy were given an update on the relations between Iraq and Finland, including on the returns of Iraqis who have received a legally valid decision turning down their asylum application.

Additionally, the President and the Ministerial Committee on Foreign and Security Policy received an overview of the current terrorism threat assessment in Finland. The Finnish Security Intelligence Service’s assessment is that the terrorism alert level in Finland, on a four-tier scale, is still at the second lowest level of ‘elevated’.
