Prime Minister Marin to attend Eastern Partnership leaders’ videoconference

Prime Minister Sanna Marin will represent Finland at the EU’s Eastern Partnership videoconference to be held on Thursday 18 June. The meeting will be attended by the leaders of the 27 EU Member States, the EU institutions and the Eastern Partnership countries, which are Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

The purpose of the meeting is to confirm and reiterate the strategic importance of the Eastern Partnership. The leaders will highlight the importance of solidarity and cooperation during the COVID-19 pandemic and discuss the preparation of the long-term political objectives of the Eastern Partnership.
